Aptean acquires enterprise software arm of Upp Technology

Enterprise software company Aptean has acquired irms | 360 Enterprise Solutions, a branch of Upp Technology, for an undisclosed amount.

irms | 360 Enterprise builds cloud-based and mobile-enabled software for the enterprise, which includes the company’s Cloud Warehouse Management, Asset Management and Emergency Management Systems.

The software integrates with existing systems for data security and greater accessibility. Its client base is spread across commercial companies, healthcare, and government.

“This solution is well aligned with our customer-focused strategy,” said Aptean CEO Kim Eaton, adding that the acquisition will help boost Aptean’s growth opportunities in the above sectors.

“The ability to extend our supply chain management capabilities with Aptean’s complementary solutions will enable us to deepen our customer relationships and increase the value we can bring to them,” commented Jeff Atkins, president of Upp Technology.

The deal is still subject to closing conditions. Neither party commented on when they expect the acquisition to be finalized. No financial details will be disclosed.

The acquisition of Upp’s irms | 360 Enterprise is the latest in a string of acquisitions from Aptean.

Last year it bought GQ Life Sciences, maker of life science patent search solutions; the enterprise and government management solutions division of StarDyne Technologies; and Advanced Public Safety Inc, a software developer for law enforcement and public safety agencies.
